Today, a Pharmaceutical Executive Faces Trial for His Alleged Role in Killing Dozens of People in 2012

Cadden is accused of having caused the deaths of dozens of people, for which he faces second-degree murder charges. Cadden used to be the co-owner and chief pharmacist at the New England Compounding Center, until around 2012, when he and his colleagues were implicated in a deadly meningitis outbreak that sickened hundreds of people in 20 states.

McDonald's Children's Toy Recalled; Causes Burns

McDonald's has voluntarily recalled an activity tracker toy included in Happy Meals last month due to reports of skin irritation and even burns. The fast food restaurant chain is working with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada to formerly recall the defective items and ensure that were given out before McDonald's pulled them aren't being used.

Consumer advocate Erin Brockovich recently cautioned via Facebook that roughly one child per hour suffers poisoning from eating laundry detergent pods (Erin's information comes from a study published by the American Academy of Pediatrics).
