Los Angeles accident injures two officers

No matter where you are driving in the Los Angeles area, there are sure to be other vehicles on the road at the same time. This includes cars, police vehicles, trucks, buses, and motorcycles.

A recent accident on Wilshire Boulevard sent two Los Angeles Police Department officers to the hospital for the treatment of injuries, both of whom were later released.

According to Los Angeles Police Department officials, their patrol car was driving with its sirens and lights on on its way to an emergency. At that time, a car traveling west on Wilshire Boulevard hit the police cruiser. As a result of the accident, one of the officers was trapped inside the car, not able to escape until firefighters arrived on the scene.

Immediately following the accident, Wilshire Boulevard was closed down as authorities investigated the incident.

This story goes a long way in showing how important it is for drivers to pay attention to the road at all times. In this case, it appears that two officers, driving in a police car on their way to an emergency, were crashed into by another vehicle. This led to both officers being taken to the hospital for treatment.

Every day throughout the state of California, as well as other parts of the country, there are drivers who make mistakes on the road. Subsequently, an accident is the end result. When somebody drives in a negligent manner an accident is not guaranteed to occur, but you increase the likelihood that this will happen and those involved will be injured.
