Every auto accident should be treated seriously, as these can lead to injuries and/or death in many cases. While this is not always true, there is no way of knowing what will happen in the event of an accident.
According to San Bernardino County Fire officials, a recent accident near the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Citrus Avenue resulted in the death of a young girl and a man. Along with this, at least four additional people suffered injuries as a result of the three car collision.
At this time, Fontana Police are looking into the possibility that a Dodge SUV ran through a red light and subsequently crashed into two other vehicles. According to witnesses, the victims in the accident were a father and his young daughter. At this time, police are unable to confirm this.
One of the witnesses noted that smog was coming out of one of the cars. She also added that employees from a local plaza rushed to the scene, hoping to help those who were injured but were unable to do so. In addition to the two people who were killed, four others were hospitalized for the treatment of injuries. Immediately following the accident the conditions of the injured had not yet been released.
After the wreckage was cleared, Foothill Boulevard remained closed so that police could investigate the scene in the hope of determining the cause of the three car collision.
This story should be a reminder that even when you are doing everything right as a driver, you never know what those around you are thinking. In this case, early indications are that a vehicle ran a red light, which led to a collision with two cars. As a result, two people were killed and four others were transported to a local hospital for treatment. After such life-shattering tragedies, medical bills could skyrocket; personal injury lawyers can be on your side to be sure medical costs don't add to the already steep emotional ones.
