Throughout the state of California, it is common for car accidents to occur both on the highways as well as city roads. Just the same as any other part of the country, these accidents are the result of many scenarios, such as one driver who is not paying attention to the road and what is going on around him or her.
A recent accident in Lincoln County shows that some collisions can have serious consequences. According to Merrill Police officials, two vehicles were involved in an accident at the intersection of Pier and 3rd street. As a result, a truck landed on its roof, on the sidewalk.
While there is no concrete information on which driver caused the accident or if any charges are going to be filed, the police department did say that one driver neglected to stop at a stop sign, which led to the vehicle hitting the other one.
Officials noted that there were a total of three people in the vehicles, all of whom were transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries.
There may not be any information on how fast the drivers were going or if alcohol was a factor, but this does not change the fact the accident occurred and it landed three people in the hospital for treatment.
In the days to come, once police are finished with their investigation, more information will come to light, including who was at fault. From there, those involved in the accident can plan their course of action, both medically and financially.
