Rollover accidents are probably one of the most frightening kinds of accidents. Rollover accidents can be especially terrifying and disorienting for passengers. One recent California accident tragically killed a man and injured two women.
The fatal accident occurred in the early evening hours. Reports indicate that the car was traveling at a high rate of speed as it rounded a corner. The driver apparently lost control on the corner and slid down a large embankment, rolling on its way down.
Recklessness and negligence are two factors that authorities consider in every accident investigation. In addition, authorities were working to determine if drugs or alcohol were factors in the accident. They were also trying to determine if any other vehicles were involved in causing the accident.
The man had apparently been in the back seat at the time of the accident. He suffered serious injuries in the collision, and was was declared deceased at the scene. Several days later, one of the two women passed away while in the hospital. The other woman was expected to survive at last report.
It may be true that rollover accidents can't always be prevented, but in some cases, negligence may prove to play a role. In the case of reckless and negligent driving, victims and surviving family members have the right to pursue legal action in a California civil court. Injured parties can file personal injury claims against anyone deemed to responsible for causing an accident. A wrongful death claim can also help victims and families cope with funeral costs, loss of companionship and lost wages. No amount of financial award can make up for one's health and well being, or that of a loved one, but it can help ease hardship, stress and suffering.
