California man may have caused serious injuries in hit-and-run

Police have arrested a man who they have reason to believe was involved in a hit-and-run accident. California police pulled over the 28-year-old man in the early morning hours recently. When they approached the driver, they noted that the car had sustained a substantial amount of damage and that the man had suffered facial cuts. This led them to suspect that the man may have been involved in an earlier car accident that resulted in serious injuries.

The earlier car accident left one victim with serious back injuries. It is believed that the injuries sustained may result in paralysis. Police have not released any further information as to the details of the accident, and they have stated that they will continue to investigate the details surrounding the hit-and-run accident.

Based on their suspicions, the police arrested the 28-year-old man. He has been charged with several criminal offenses, including DUI and a felony charge of hit-and-run. It was not disclosed when the man was expected to be arraigned on the charges.

Hit-and-run accidents are a serious issue along California roads. These types of accidents are especially troubling when serious injuries result. Unfortunately, death is also a sad result of some car accidents.

When death occurs because of an accident, the family of the victim suffers immensely. While the emotional loss is difficult enough to bear on its own, the death of a loved one is often followed by a substantial financial burden. Fortunately, if an accident is caused by another person's negligence, the family may have grounds to file a wrongful death lawsuit. A wrongful death lawsuit can help a family recover compensation for funeral expenses and medical costs among other things. The death of a loved one shouldn't cause a family financial difficulties too.
