Because life in Porter Ranch looks a lot different than it used to...
In October 2015, SoCalGas wells began to spew thousands of pounds of methane into Los Angeles. This was only a mile or so away from homes in Porter Ranch.
They're calling it one of the worst gas leaks in U.S. history.
Thousands relocated because of health risks...
The Los Angeles Times once called Porter Ranch a "calm outpost of Los Angeles," but lately it has been anything but. The Dept. of Health ordered SoCalGas to relocate thousands of Porter Ranch residents.
If you were one of those residents, you know you need help.

Your legal options:
Lawyers recently met with affected residents at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Porter Ranch. The topic was just what we're planning to do in the wake of this gas leak. The lawyers of Girardi | Keese have two primary goals:
- To get justice for the families who were sickened and forced to relocate.
- To hold SoCalGas accountable for any wrongdoing or negligence that led to this leak.
This is what we will do.
Girardi | Keese has a long history of going up against powerful entities, not unlike SoCalGas, and what we often find is that someone, somewhere, made a decision to put profit ahead of safety. As it happens, this leak might take SoCalGas months to stop.
In the meantime, roughly 4,000 families have been left holding the proverbial bag.
We will fight for compensation for any sickness you've had as a result of the leak - nosebleeds, nausea and vomiting, respiratory issues, headaches - as well as compensation for being relocated, any loss of home value, and for the possibility of having lost your home altogether.
